Easter is a great time of year to bring the family together to enjoy some sweet treats and delicious food. But having a beautifully set table for Easter brunch can really make the day special. We’ve had a look at some clever and creative ways to incorporate some spring charm into your table this Easter.
Pastel colours are always popular around Easter. Fluffy yellow chicks and beautiful pink tulips have us all gravitating towards spring pastels. They add a lovely pop of colour whilst creating a lovely light and calming effect. Why not try adding a beautiful pastel coloured tablecloth to your Easter table paired with some beautiful white crockery to add a bit of contrast.
Gingham is lovely way to introduce some colour and pattern into your Easter set up. Pastel colours paired with white gives traditional gingham a modern twist that would look lovely on any Easter table. Some Gingham napkins or a table runner would definitely inject some spring time fun into your table decor.
Tulips and daffodils are beautiful at this time of year, so naturally we want to decorate our Easter tables with them. Their lovely pastel colours and contrasting green stems are the perfect choice to add a pop of colour to the simplest of table set ups.
A lovely modern idea is to use mason jars to hold your beautiful spring flowers. You can paint them, wrap ribbon around them or just leave them plain to show off the lovely green stems. They create a lovely simple look that is very easy to achieve. If you want to be even more creative you could use perfume bottles, teacups, teapots or jugs to create a beautiful array of textures and colours on your table.
Many people create a lovely Easter centrepiece to their table by decorating an Easter tree. Much like at Christmas, you can choose any type of tree you want and add Easter decorations to it. A great way to get the kids involved, you could make your decorations at home and get really creative with your tree. You could even paint it in a beautiful pastel colour to match the rest of your table set up.
A simple and effective way to add a pop of colour to your table, is to use all the sweet treats we get at Easter to decorate. A mason jar or cookie jar filled with brightly wrapped chocolate eggs can look very pretty and creates a very Easter themed decoration. A few different sized jars containing different coloured sweets against white linen would give a lovely burst of colour, and double up as a sweet treat for all your guests!
